Hello, hello!

First and foremost, I want to welcome you all (whether it’s back or for the first time).

As I’m sure you may be wondering, my name is Martina Scheuermann, and, yes, I’m “The American”.

What I call “home” is a few thousand kilometers away from here. I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, which is located in the southern part of the USA (next to Texas, northwest of Disney World and very far south of New York). I love travelling and cannot tell you how thrilled I am to have found my way to Argentina.  Just like it’s the first time for many of our students to be taught by a “native speaker,” it’s my first time being in this beautiful country.

Working at the OK Institute is absolutely wonderful. It’s so wonderful that I decided to stay until December, as opposed to leaving in July! The energy here is electric, and the family we share is extraordinarily welcoming to all. Our students are spectacular, and I come to work every day looking forward to seeing their faces. With them and our staff, there’s never a class without a laugh or a day without learning something new.

I hope we all can continue to take advantage of this brilliant opportunity in the coming months and want to say thanks to everyone for making it so special thus far. As always, please feel free to talk to me – in class, on the streets or even on Facebook.

Hola! Me llamo Sara y soy de Carolina de Norte (en el sur de Estados
Unidos). Voy a vivir  en Argentina por 6 meses para enseñar inglés y aprender
español. Me gusta mucho trabajar en el OK Institute con todos los
estudiantes y las profesoras. Todos son muy simpáticos!
Espero poder preparar  actividades  divertidas para que los estudiantes
aprendan inglés al mismo tiempo que mejoro mi español. Estoy muy feliz
aqui y espero  conocerlos mejor a todos !

My name is Sara and I am from North Carolina (in the southern part of
the United States). I am living here in Argentina for 6 months to
teach English and study Spanish. I really like working at the
institute with all of the students and teachers. Everyone is so nice!
I hope I am able to prepare fun activities for students to learn
English while improving my Spanish. I have enjoyed my time here and I
look forward to getting to know everyone better!

Lara Erasmus es de Johannesburgo, Sudáfrica. Nos visito durante 6 meses en 2017, y no solo nos ayudo a mejorar nuestro Ingles, sino que ademas aprendió mucho Español. 

Lauren Eberle es de Albuquerque, Nuevo México. Durante 2018 convivió con  una familia de Moreno, compartiendo conocimientos con nosotros y aprendiendo mucho Español.
